We need your help to make important changes to our CC&Rs. Any change will require the notarized signatures of 90% of the property owners. The proposed changes are to reduce the 90% vote to 2/3rds, remove Tennessee Land and Lakes as the Declarant, remove the By-laws as an Exhibit and make it a separate document, and change the section on renting to be no less than 6 months. Our lawyer will be working on this and will send the appropriate information to all property owners. More information will be provided over the next several months.
Our gate will remain closed during Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day Off. You will be notified by email if there are any Special Event timers set or any issues with normal operations.

I've been working with the board since we were given control in 2021. I was involved in the transition of the POA transfer with Booker. I'm looking forward to working toward the completion of several of the projects our current board has in process including road repairs, finishing and upgrading the 19 acre land purchase, and the completion with our committee and Lawyers on the revision of the neighborhood covenants which will remove Tennessee Land and Lakes and place total control in the hands of our POA. Our current board has the same goals as me to make improvements here in Legacy shores and keep current assessments from going up. My background is in construction and construction equipment sales which has helped with some of the items were tackled in the past couple years.
Randi and I have enjoyed our gated lakeside community since we first moved to Vonore in 2010. Prior to the management company transferring control to the property owners, I attended and documented their meetings and distributed these notes to the POA. With your support, I was able to continue this by being elected to the board and focus on taking and distributing monthly meeting minutes, decision making in the best interest of all Legacy Shores, ensuring that assets are used carefully and cautiously, and compliance with our CC&Rs and Bylaws. With an IT and Software Engineering background, I also focused on initial setup, administration and maintenance of our Summit Control gate software supporting 230+ gate users, administration of our 24x7x365 NVR CCTV security cameras, our cloud based voting platform used for elections, our shared cloud drive for board documents and files, our Legacy Shores Board email address, and building and deploying our Legacy Shores website. Randi and I enjoy our lake, nature, exercise, reading, restaurants, family, travel, technology, most pets, a warm fire, music, concerts, trying to play the ukulele and being married for 48 years (to each other). Oh, and long walks on the beach. We are grateful for your help and support.
I've been working with the board since we were given control in 2021. I was instrumental in working with Booker to get financial information to review to verify accuracy of financial statements. I am an Accountant/Auditor and was a Division Controller in a fortune 50 company when I retired in 2012.
My husband, Scott, and I relocated here in December 2022 from the northern Virginia area. I am currently working remotely part-time as a personal injury paralegal for my boss of over 20 years. In addition to my duties as a paralegal, I am also the office manager and bookkeeper for his practice, and I assist in managing his commercial building. I also serve as the secretary for the newly formed Tellico Lake American Legion Auxiliary Unit 256. Scott and I love being a part of this community.

My wife Lou and I have lived in Legacy Shores since March of 2013. We moved from Cookeville, TN. We have both been involved in the neighborhood since taking up residence. Legacy Shores has been a lifetime dream of ours. Great neighbors, beautiful lake, and retired life. During the summer, you will find us on the lake or enjoying the view from our deck or dock. Lou and I invite everyone to stop by and say hi.
1 of 4 Board Members @ Large. I’ve been serving as a Board Member since its inception in 2021. My duties are to act as a liaison for the homeowners and co-ordinate thoughts, ideas, etc. between them and the board. My wife’s name is Robin. She and I purchased our lot in 2012. We moved from Knoxville in Feb. of 2020. I graduated from The University of TN School of Architecture, and now I am a retired Architect and General Contractor. I retired in 2017 from managing a Design Build Construction Company in Knoxville where I designed and built light commercial and higher end residential projects. Robin and I feel like we are on vacation everyday living here. We love living here! We feel so fortunate to be a part of such a great neighborhood with the best neighbors. I am also chair person for the ACC committee and we approve all new construction projects.

Monroe County, TN, offers brush pickup services, but the specifics can vary by city or municipality. Generally, residents can place brush at the curb for pickup, following guidelines like placing it near the curb but not beyond it, and keeping it off sidewalks and gutters. Generally, brush should be placed near the curb, with the butt end towards the street. It should be kept off sidewalks, parking areas, and gutters. Limbs should be no larger than 3 inches in diameter at any point. Crews will not pick up piles containing brush or limbs mixed with rubbish or trash. There is often a limit of one truckload per residence, typically about 100 cubic feet, or a 10x10 pile.
In Vonore, Tennessee, grass clippings and other yard waste should be placed in biodegradable paper bags and set out for collection on the day after trash pickup. It's crucial to keep yard waste separate from regular trash to promote recycling and reduce landfill waste.
